Only 40 minutes from Montréal in the Laurentides(Laurentians),
the Saint-Sauveur Valley is known as the worlds night skiing capital. Mont
Saint-Sauveur and its sister stations (Mont Avila, Ski Morin Heights, Ski
Mont-Gabriel and Mont Olympia) use up over 3,000,000 watts of lighting.
The lights, the stars, the snow… how romantic !
Of 93 runs, 66 are lit. So you have just as good a selection
at night as you do in the day.
A free shuttle service is available for skiers who want to check out
the other
stations in the Valley. Also, Le Chantecler in Sainte-Adèle
has 16 lit runs.
The above is an exerpt from the Quebec
government official tourist site (Which also contains a good write
up on cross-country skiing)
Mont Habitant in the same area and further north Mont Tremblant offer two other venues with others in between.
South east of Montreal lies the Eastern Townships(Owls
Head,Mont Sutton) and Vermont(Stowe ,Jay Peak) , east is Parc De la Mauricie
and the Quebec city region and west is the Ottawa valley, all offering
diverse ski facilities.
